Q. Can I eat salads and dressings? Tomatoes are kind of sweet can I have those?

A. You are required to eat 2-3 cups of salads/salad veggies per day, OR 2 cups of salads/salad veggies and one cup of other allowed veggies. Tomatoes fall under the "other" category. They are one of the higher carb count items, so be sure to plan accordingly if you want to eat some. See the Acceptable Foods list for Induction. It lists the foods that you can have during Induction.

A. Caesar salads are usually safe. If you're making the salad yourself you should check the nutritionals on the dressing you're using. You're allowed a total of one cup per day of sweeter vegetables like tomatos, onions and avocado. There are food lists which show the two main groups of vegetables available.
